The storyline takes place in Los Angeles, Paris and Tokyo. The basis of the game was a career mode, where the player must get the status of the best racer in a fictional city, along the way developing his qualities, acquiring new cars, pumping them. As in its predecessor, the developers have retained the arcade mode in the second part, in which the player can safely participate in races in single or multiplayer mode. Moto and auto race - Midnight club 2 - became a cult sequel to the first part.
